Even though Zambia is home, a care pack from the other place I call home would really make my day. With today’s technology it’s even easier than before. Here’s a list on Amazon.com of things I’d be thrilled to get. Of course, I’d be thrilled to get anything you wanted to send me.
If there is one item I could use a steady supply of, it’s bike tire tubes. I have a 29″x2.0″ wheels so any tube with a presta valve that will fit 29″x2.0″ will do. Your local bike shop will have them.
If you’d like to send me a care packing there are a couple of tricks to help make it easier:
- Taking the price tag and any type of packaging helps get it through customs.
- If you can keep it under 4 pounds it will be cheaper and face less scrutiny at the border
- If it’s over 4 pounds, and/or just in general, try using a USPS flat-rate shipping box.
